Our Silver fabric is made with wood fibre, cotton and small quantities of silver.
Wood fibre is naturally antistatic and highly vapour-permeable; these properties make it feel particularly comfortable in contact with the skin.
Silver filaments are arranged orthogonally across the wood fibres to increase the fabric’s antistatic effect.
Silver is non-toxic (it is so neutral that is used for sommeliers’ “tastevin†wine-tasting cups), but it also has natural antibacterial properties.
However, its most extraordinary quality is its electrical resistivity; lower than that of platinum and copper, with a value of 0.016 Ω cm, it is the lowest of all known materials.
